Bulls' Rose out; Celtics Rondo, Smart sidelined

NBA, Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics

CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose will miss the Boston Celtics game Saturday night because of sprained ankles.

Rose will sit out his second consecutive game and fourth in the last five. Veteran Kirk Hinrich will start in his place again.

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau says "He's not ready to go yet. We'll see where he is tomorrow."

The Celtics were without guards Rajon Rondo and rookie Marcus Smart. Evan Turner replaces Rondo, who remained in Boston to have screws removed from his surgically repaired left hand. Rondo could be available for the game against Oklahoma City on Wednesday night.

Smart is expected to miss up to three weeks because of a sprained left ankle and bone bruise, which he suffered in a win against Indiana on Friday night.
