Since the 3-point line was introduced in 1979-80, there have been only five seasons in which a player has averaged at least 20 points per game and shot 40 percent from the 3-point line on at least seven 3-point attempts per game: Curry in each of the past two seasons, Ray Allen twice and Jason Richardson in 2007-08.
