James is third all time in scoring average per game, averaging 27.6, behind only Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain. Bryant is 10th at 25.5 points a game. For a more balanced view, consider this. Since 2003, when James entered the league, Bryant has taken 525 more shots than James & and scored 86 fewer points than him.

Wow! Those are some crazy stats. It's certainly odd. I have never viewed LeBron as much of a "scorer", which surely is a view stoked by ESPN. When you're almost averaging a triple-double, it's easy to forget the points are at 30. The Durant/LeBron MVP race is seeming a bit skewed. All you see is how good Durant is at scoring 24/7. Yet James is shooting a higher percent - but no one cares anymore.
