The only thing more stupid than his analysis, is his hairdo. He's about as fake, as that blonde rug he is sporting.

Israel Gutierrez clearly doesn't belong to the group. He's unprofessional with his homerism. If you agree, please sign the petition: http://www.change.org/petitions/espn-fire-israel-gutierrez

sorry if I hurt your feelings
Why do people talk about the Spurs like they are the 1960's Celtics? They haven't won anything in five years and were eliminated in the first round last year by the number 8 seeded team. I think Popovich overcoaches to make himself look like a genius the same way Bill Belichick does. The Spurs are a good veteran team that would win a lot of regular season games anyway. Sweeping the 8th seeded Jazz that BARELY made the playoffs doesn't impress me. And beating the Clippers is even less impressive. I believe they are in for a rude awakening versus OKC.

You didn't hurt our feelings, you only showed that you are a moron like Israel. When OKC has 4 rings, When Durant is a two-time NBA MVP, three-time NBA Finals MVP, and 13 time All-Star, When Westbrook has three NBA Finals rings and a NBA Finals MVP, When Harden has Three NBA rings and a Euroleague Title and an Olympic Gold Medal, When Coach Brooks name is up there with Auerbach, Jackson, and Popovich. Then come a calling. Oklahoma Beat Dallas, a shell of it's former self, you know those Mavs? The ones who eliminated your team last year? And a dysfunctional Lakers team. Yeah, I believe you are in for a Rude awakening. Do you know what the difference is between your team and the Suns that we dispatched every year? They were more talented.

Anyone who thinks that the Spurs brand of basketball is boring isn't a basketball player. To a casual fan, I can understand that it doesn't have as many electric dunks or huge rejections... from that stand point, it is boring. But, from a player's or coach's point of view, the way the Spurs play basketball is a beautiful thing to watch. Everyone... everyone is doing what they are supposed to be doing at all times and they flow seamlessly through their offense. They are tough on D and they help each other constantly. They play the game exactly how you would want it played. They are fundamentally perfect. In my humble opinion, there have only been a handful of players, let alone teams, that could combine perfect fundamentals and an electric crowd pleasing excitement... MJ, and Kobe come to mind immediately.

"...The Spurs were 17th in the regular season in field goal percentage allowed and are dead last among the remaining teams in that category..." Guitierrez is a moron... dead last among remaining teams? Got news for ya buddy, they're also dead 4th as there are only 4 teams remaining. Plus, those defensive stats are skewed a little (I said "a little") because Miami plays in the east where 99% of the teams can't shoot well anyway. So their defensive stats would be skewed... even without defense, the east would miss a lot of shots!

Yes, I'm being facetious about the east poor shooting and defensive stats, but its kind of true... no?

Mr. Gutierrez can't see beyond LaBron's balls. If he would stop dribbling LaBron's balls and pay attention to the Spurs, or anything else for that matter, he would see that LaBron told the truth when he said; "Not 1, Not 2, Not 3" and that there is no way they beat the Spurs in a 7 game series

Why Guttierrez says the things he says is anybody's guess. And why is the 7th largest city in America called "small market"?

It's not city population, but metro area that defines market size. San Antonio is number 24, just behind Portland and Pittsburgh and just ahead of Sacramento and Orlando.

Israel -- you're either going to be laughing last or stuck without a chair when the music stops and looking like a very stubborn, foolish Heat homer.

Here's how mediocre the Spurs are on defense in the playoffs: 87.3 PPG, .415 Opp FG%,

Israel has a point. Don't get lost in the hype of a team on a win streak. I don't think the Spurs are the favorites to win the ring. OKC went through Dallas like a knife through butter, and are doing a fine job with the Lakers, two much better teams than Utah and the Clippers. We'll see how the next round goes, if both OKC and the Spurs make it. Then and only then will you know if the Spurs truly have what it takes to win the Finals.

I love how everyone claims the Lakers and Mavs were so much better than the Jazz and Clippers. Jazz 8th seed, Mavs 7th seed.( Jazz and Mavericks both ended with a 36 -30 record) 5th seeded Clippers needed 7 games to beat the 4th seeded Grizzlies. 3rd placed Lakers need 7 games to defeat the 6th seeded Nuggets! Spurs defeated Utah Gm 1. by 15, GM 2 by 31, GM 3 by 12 and GM 4 by 6 By combination of 64 pts Thunder defeated Mavs Gm 1. by 1 GM 2 by 3, GM 3 by 16 and GM 4 by 6 By combination of 26 pts Remember Jazz and Mavs ended with the same record. Lakers Record 41 - 25, Clippers 40 -26 Spurs def Clippers Gm 1 by 16 GM 2 by 17 GM 3 by 10 and GM 4 by 3 By combination of 46 pts Thunder def Lakers Gm 1 by 29 Gm 2 by 2 Gm 3 LOST by 3 Gm 4 by 3 and Gm 5 by 16 By combination of 50 pts. Really Not much different in competition.

San Antonio has four rings. They don't need to prove they can win because they have. The Thunder are a great team however their only championship came as the Sonics and none of the players from that championship team are on the current Thunder team. The current Spurs core has seen at least 3 championships together and of course POP and Duncan have been together for 4 Rings. Duncan has 3 Finals MVP's and Parker has 1. By the way Parker's MVP came when the Spurs SWEPT LaBron's Cavaliers. So the Spurs have nothing to prove...look up at the rafters in OKC and you will see the evidence that it's the Thunder that must prove something.

If anyone needs to prove they have what it takes to win the Finals, it's OKC. This is the Spurs we're talking about.
