Griffin was a much better player before Chris Paul got here and taught him to flop. Keep the bad acting for the KIA commercials, Blake. Play like a man. How can a guy be so dynamic and then act like such a wimp when he is barely touched? Especially when he snaps his neck back and grabs his head when he WASN'T even touched. Blake, do you realize the NBA has replay? I wish Dave Cowens was still around to show him what a REAL FOUL is.

Kevfn love's progresion was not out of nowhere - we all know he had solid perimeter game - this year (his 3rd) was the year he consistently played at a high level. Blake Griffin consistently plays at a high level - but really doesnt have much offensive ability past 8-10 feet. It will take at least 3-4 years of Kevin Love not progressing AT ALL while Blake Griffin improves his offensive repertoire before I'd call it even. Advantage - Love

It is without a doubt Kevin Love. The T-wolves had a great shot at the playoffs this year if Rubio didn't go down so please just please don't give me the "he puts up good stats on a bad team." That's untrue in so many ways. Love's game is so much more evolved than Griffin's it's comical. Not only that but Love is superior to Griffin on D too. Love has actually tried on D this year and has been below average, however Griffin doesn't give any effort whatsoever on D. I'd take Alrdridge over Griffin at this point in their careers (however Griffin has more upside)

I am so confused by everyone's constant hate for Griffin. If you don't like the guy, then don't like him. There are a lot of NBA players that I don't like, and I could care less to talk about them, but with Griffin people go out of their way to bash the guy. It is a psychological coping mechanism to bash the guy because you think he is good. (don't argue it, it is proven science). Does the guy show off? Yes, everybody in the NBA does. If all players could get air like he does, they would do it every chance they got. He can't shoot ft's. That is his major downfall, and it is a big one. But the overwhelming bashing of the guy? Its a little pathetic. Have you ever seen D.Howard shoot a ft? Pretty bad, huh. Wilt Chamberlain, holds the record for most ft misses in a single season (actually he holds like the 2nd and 3rd highest too). Those guys are better than average in my book. I am not even a Griffin fan, I know basketball though, and anyone that feels so compelled to voice their negative opinions on him, either have a crush on his skills, or is just a hater.

Dwight aslo has 3 defensive player of the year awards, I just can't ignore the fact that Blake doesn't play defense. I'm not even saying he's bad at it, he doesn't even try. That's why I don't think he should get much respect. Carmelo seriously plays more defense than Blake. That's really maddening. Also I don't think this is why most people hate him and you make some good points.

honestly i loved him in college but i can't stand his attitude on the court. He says all the right things off it though. He has all the physical abilities to be great but all i ever get out of watching him is that he likes to flop a lot and dunk. Not a great shooter at all. He needs to work on his ball skills and footwork. Wilt chamberlain played in a completely different era so i wouldn't compare the 2

He's good, yes, but most of his points comes off lobs and putbacks. His offensive repertoir is very predictable, and he only scores because of athleticism. But most likely he'll learn how to play on the ground sooner or later. Probably later

That's one of the reasons he is so good, he is one of the best at finding a lane and attacking the rim. He is a point guards dream! When you have a guy that goes at the rim with that much force and ability, it makes your team a whole lot better. Players like Griffin render defenses, well, defenseless many times, because you have to choose between guarding him, or the driving guard.

Why would you start shooting jumpers if you know you can get to the rim. Shaqs a scrub, Dwight Howard bum, Shawn Kemp awful, Dominique horrible. Maybe he should turn into Quentin Richardson or Dequan Cook and just shoot threes, Did you idiots see what happened to Bynum for shooting one three. Yeah he needs to improve his jumpshot but the kid is a freak of nature and he needs to continue to take full advantage of it cause it doesnt last forever.

No, just no. You HAVE to have a solid jumper in order to be successful in the NBA. Bottom line. A one-dimensional player can't have a long career. What happens if he gets injured or when his knees start breaking down (which they will sooner than most players if he continues to only play like this)? He needs a mid-range game.

Griffin is extremely over rated at most things. He is an amazing dunker/throw the ball in the hoop and stare down an opponent like you just won 3 nba titles. Needs to work on shooting the ball (he shoots the ball on the way down most of the time) and his on-court attitude, which is poor. There is a reason why players foul him hard, they are usually just returning the favor. If you dish it out, you need to learn to take it.

Karl Malone hit it on the way down. He just needs to practice his shot more in the offseason. Sam perkins threw it over his head (One of the top 3 point shoiting bigs). Birds shooting motion was hardly perfect. Different styles just lots of repetition to get better.
