they should be made to pay back their scholarships if they leave..!!! The RAMS CLUB def. did not get their monies worth with these guys !

Athletic scholarships are only good for one year. They get renewed each year if the school sees fit. It's not a 4 year scholarship like lots of people think. Once the academic year is over their scholarship is done unless it is renewed.

Roy should spend some time this offseason studying the triangle and two defense that befuddled him against Kansas. Self coached circles around him with much lesser talent.

Couldn't even win the Championship, learn how to play the game first (mentally not physically) With that being said. GO GET THAT MONEY! ASAP moneymoneymoneymoneymoney... Who would stick around and let their stock fall?? moneymoneymoney

I still say that if they are given scholarships for a free ride then they should be made to stay 3 years !! pro material or not they should have to stay !

>

if they got a free ride ...yep....or you have to pay back your scholarship to the school.

You wouldn't make a computer programmer stay in school if they were on an acedemic scholarship and they got a job offer from GOOGLE.

when they take a free ride and leave in the first year, the school will lose that scholarship. If they had to sty for 3 years like the football players do it would be better for the school ...especially the athletic clubs

I still dont think Barnes is ready, I bet it is tough for him and Henson to pass up large amount of money two years in a row and I dont blame them for leaving. I am still pretty upset about Marshall's decision considering he went out with an injury and he could have broken more assist records and possibly have left a legacy as one of the greatest passing point guards the college game has seen (not to say he did not do that this year). This team went through a lot of struggles and overcame a ton but I watched Hansbrough's team from 06 to 09 and this team this year was great but they still would not stand a chance against that 09 team

Thats what I'm saying if it were 09 vs. 12 Lawson would blow by Kendall all day

Well duh! Lawson's biggest asset was his speed and quickness. Marshall's is his innate ability to find the open man. Also Marshall didn't defend 100% because he knew he would have to play 35-38 mins a game once Strickland went down. Had he done that UNC would've tanked in the final 5 mins of every close game.

Yeah they have potential to be a great tandem in the backcourt

Kids go to college to improve their earning potential, all three have succeeded at that. It's hard to turn down millions of dollars, I don't care what you do. There's a bunch of haters on here bemoaning the fact that in a few short months these kids will be millionaires while the same haters will be struggling to pay their monthly bills on time. Who cares if they make an immediate impact, they will still be making millions while most of us can only dream of making just a tenth of what they will make in 3-4 years in a lifetime.

Mark my words as they are written. Barnes and Henson will not make immediate impacts in the NBA. The inconsistency Barnes showed throughout the year must be improved and Henson needs to add weight. Marshall has a shot because of his passing ability. Eventually, they will all make a roster, but the impact will not be much at all. One more year would have done each of them some good. Remember what happened to the team with May and Lawson? Lawson is the only one in the league while the others are playing overseas somewhere. Think about it.

Sean May is no longer in the league due to debilitating knee injuries, not because he wasn't good enough. thank god sean left early. who knows, kid may have never been drafted if he'd stayed another year.

Who played with Lawson, and Raymond Felton who played with the team that May was one. McCants ran himself off from the NBA.

Paige will have to grow and develop pretty quick next year. There will be bumps in the road because he is a frosh point but hopefully he isnt as bad as Drew II

Paige is a straight baller! IOWA!

highly doubt paige will start next year (at least in the beginning). it's probably dexter stricklands job right now.
>
BoboWilliams95
I see where your coming from but it might be just as good to throw him right in the mix from the beginning
79 Days ago
>
BoboWilliams95
if paige could have a freshman season like Frasor did in '06 that would be great, considering that he will be the first point since Frasor to start from the beginning of his Carolina career. (Lawson started 5 games into the season because Frasor got hurt)

No one could be as bad as Drew II..I could go out there with one hand and be better than that kid.

Duke is the only school with more players currently employed by the NBA and no school has more players with NBA rings than UNC...fact

Rasheed Wallace, Brendon Haywood, Kenny Smith, etc... More UNC players with rings. Only Ferry from Duke has a ring in the last 30+ years.

love when people who hate UNC say Mike shouldn't be counted as a Tar Heel! He played there 3 years!

Been trying to give Duke credit all year. They overachieved (at least until the tournament) and Coach K is a class act but there are some dookies that sure make it hard not to hate dook
