DENVER -- The Colorado Rockies have placed outfielder Michael Cuddyer on the 15-day disabled list because of a right oblique strain.

Cuddyer originally sustained the injury July 31 and missed 11 games. He was reinstated from the DL on Thursday and hit a home run in Colorado's win over Miami.

He reinjured the oblique in Saturday's loss to the Marlins.

Cuddyer, who signed as a free agent with the Rockies in the offseason, is hitting .260 with 16 home runs and 58 RBIs in 101 games.

The Rockies recalled outfielder Andrew Brown on Sunday from Triple-A Colorado Springs to take Cuddyer's spot on the active roster.
