Braves catcher Tyler Flowers to miss 4-6 weeks with broken hand

Atlanta Braves catcher Tyler Flowers will miss four to six weeks with a broken left hand, Today's Knuckleball reported Tuesday.

Flowers was hurt when Miami Marlins pitcher A.J. Ramos struck him on the hand with a pitch earlier this month. The injury was aggravated on a checked swing in the second inning of Saturday's game against the White Sox.

The Braves had said that Flowers was to undergo an MRI on Monday.

Flowers is hitting .253 with 7 home runs and 21 RBIs in 53 games for Atlanta this season.
