Indians create their own Ohio Cup after sweep of Reds

Get the trophy case at Progressive Field ready: The Cleveland Indians are bringing home the Ohio Cup.

Just not the actual trophy version that used to go to the winner of the annual Battle of Ohio series between the Indians and the Cincinnati Reds.

Instead, outfielder Lonnie Chisenhall and second baseman Jason Kipnis created a more literal version of the famed award to commemorate the Indians' four-game sweep of the Reds this week.

Catcher Chris Gimenez also sported some hardware of his own, taking home the "Ohio Cup Least Valuable Player" award. Gimenez went 0-for-5 in the series, striking out and grounding into a double play in Thursday's 7-2 Cleveland win.
