A look at what's happening all around the majors today: --- REDS RUNNING Cincinnati looks to go wild on the bases again against the Rockies. The Reds stole five bags in one inning Tuesday night against slow-moving Jorge De La Rosa -- their biggest total in an inning since at least the 1920s, per information provided by the teams from the Elias Sports Bureau. CAREFUL WITH THE KID Dodgers right-hander Ross Stripling (0-0, 2.03 ERA) makes his third career start, but it's unclear how many more he'll get in his first full year back from Tommy John surgery. Stripling is on an innings limit and will move to the bullpen eventually. "I think it's start by start for now," manager Dave Roberts said. "I think even internally we're not even talking about that, but it is something, moving forward, that we're kind of mindful of but we really haven't started those discussions yet." PAIR OF ACES White Sox ace Chris Sale (3-0, 2.35) is off to his best start since he was 5-0 in 2014, and he'll face Angels ace Garrett Richards (0-2, 3.57) in a matinee. Sale is coming off a two-hit shutout of Tampa Bay on Friday in which he struck out nine. The Angels have scored only five runs in losing all three of Richards' starts. RESTED AND READY? With the Yankees facing Oakland right-hander Kendall Graveman (0-1, 2.38), expect Jacoby Ellsbury to return to the lineup after not starting Tuesday night. Ellsbury was left out of the lineup against left-hander Eric Surkamp after making four defensive mistakes during the first two weeks of the season, but did enter as a pinch runner. "I don't think he's played as well as he's capable of playing. It just seems like he's misjudged the ball a couple times," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. SNAKE BIT Zack Greinke (0-2, 6.75) is still seeking his first win with Arizona and gets a tough assignment at San Francisco, facing the Giants and ace Madison Bumgarner (1-1, 4.50). Greinke had his best outing so far last time out, limiting San Diego to two runs over 7 1/3 innings.
