What Maryland does: Baltimore restaurant offers Cespedes, Davis free food for life

MLB

Do the Orioles have a secret weapon in the competition to sign outfielder Yoenis Cespedes?

A Baltimore restaurant has offered Cespedes free crab cakes for life if he signs with the team.

Looks like Jimmy's Seafood knows what it's getting into. The Mets, in August, tweeted a picture of Cespedes at a table laden with the remains of crab legs while they were in Baltimore to play the Orioles.

The restaurant previously made a similar offer to Chris Davis, who signed a seven-year deal to stay in Baltimore. Davis reportedly is a big fan of the food.

So it's free crab cakes for Orioles players. But not their agents.
