Dodgers' OF Van Slyke, RHP Hatcher, switch places on DL

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers have reinstated outfielder Scott Van Slyke from the 15-day disabled list and placed reliever Chris Hatcher on the 15-day DL, retroactive to June 15, because of an oblique strain on his left side.

The moves were made before Wednesday night's game against the Texas Rangers. Van Slyke missed 17 games because of inflammation in his back, and was batting .264 with two home runs and 14 RBI when he went on the shelf. In three rehab appearances with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga, he was 4-for-11 with a homer and two RBI.

Hatcher is 1-4 with two saves and a 6.48 ERA in 27 appearances.
