WASHINGTON -- The Toronto Blue Jays activated catcher Dioner Navarro from the 15-day disabled list and sent fellow catcher Josh Thole to Triple-A Buffalo after the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Washington Nationals.

Navarro (left hamstring) last played on April 21. He batted .267 with four RBIs in eight games before suffering the injury.

Thole received limited work behind starter Russell Martin. He hit .269 in 26 at-bats, including a 2-for-4 performance in Game 1 of the doubleheader.

The Blue Jays added right-hander Scott Copeland from Triple-A Buffalo to serve as the 26th man for the nightcap.
