CHICAGO -- The White Sox have agreed to a $937,500, one-year deal with reliever Javy Guerra and avoided arbitration. A 29-year-old right-hander, Guerra was 2-4 with a 2.91 ERA in 42 relief appearances last season -- his first with Chicago. He made $511,000. Guerra also played for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2011-13 and is 6-9 with a 2.91 ERA in 143 games. Thursday's agreement left pitchers Jeff Samardzija, Nate Jones and Hector Noesi along with catcher Tyler Flowers as the team's remaining unsigned players in arbitration.
