Last week, we looked at five moves for National League teams that need to happen. This week we focus on the American League:
Dexter Fowler to the Blue Jays for prospects
The Toronto Blue Jays have but one proven outfielder (Jose Bautista) and one potentially solid outfielder in Dalton Pompey, who has a lot of prospect cachet but is short on big league time. And they have two outfielders who could form a decent platoon in Andy Dirks and Kevin Pillar. If the team is sold on Pompey being the full-time starter to start the season, it certainly could roll with that group.
Acquiring Fowler, however, would give the Blue Jays a lot more options.
