Cubs starter Jackson leaves with apparent injury

CHICAGO -- Chicago Cubs starter Edwin Jackson left Thursday night's game against the San Diego Padres with no outs in the sixth inning with an apparent injury.

With San Diego leading 3-1, Yasmani Grandal led off the sixth with a walk, then Will Venable singled to right.

Immediately after the hit, Cubs manager Rick Renteria and a trainer came to the mound, and Jackson left the game. He was replaced by Brian Schlitter.
