May 17: Jackson gave up three runs on seven hits over 6.2 innings in a losing effort against the Mets on Friday.
He pitched reasonably well Friday, but Jackson gave up the go-ahead RBI to Matt Harvey in the seventh inning and the Cubs' offense simply couldn't pick him up in the final three frames. Jackson has trimmed a half-run from his ERA over his last four starts, but Friday's 6.2 innings marked his longest start of the season. A road start against the Pirates is likely on tap for Jackson next time out depending on how the team handles the expected return of Matt Garza.
