May 20: Lowe was designated for assignment Monday, the Rangers' Executive Vice President of Communications reports. Sunday's two runs allowed in 0.2 innings raised Lowe's ERA to an even 9.00 through 13 frames this season. He does boast an 8:3 K:BB ratio, and the right situation, he could be a part of a team's rotation as a middling option. However, he'll report to Triple-A Round Rock in the near future, if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
