STLSt. Louis Cardinals
2015 Record: 100-62
#8 Mike Leake
Oct 1: Leake (11-10) was spectacular on Wednesday, twirling a complete game shutout while allowing two hits and three walks in a win over the Dodgers. He struck out just one. Leake has been terrible in his time with the Giants, but this is the type of performance they were expecting when they traded for him. The craziest stat to go along with the one strikeout is that he drew just three swinging strikes in 104 pitches. That's simply hard to do and it may be a case of the Dodgers sending out a junior-varsity lineup and having a "hangover" after winning the NL West the night before. With that said, Leake is an intriguing option next season in one of the best pitchers parks in baseball.
