Samardzija helps A's keep lead in wild card

Jeff Samardzija pitched seven strong innings and received some rare run support to snap a four-start winless stretch, and the Athletics kept hold of the top AL wild-card spot by beating the AL West champion Angels 8-4 on Monday night.
