month of june highlights had Santana's no hitter, Cain's perfect game, and absolutely nothing on either of Hill's cycles...good reporting Sportscenter. Is that channel really the only reason why I don't just ditch satellite TV...

Am I the only one who's kind of unmoved by a cycle? I mean, a four hit day is a great day, but the cycle is more oddity than achievement.

It shows great versatility. Not every player has the power to hit a HR, the speed to hit the triple, and the overall hitting prowess to get them plus the double and single all in one game. 354 Days ago

AMERICAN TOUCHDOWN - dudes 30 and hes been an all-star once... can't be all that versatile
Being an all star has nothing to do with versatility. 353 Days ago

I think you make a good point about versatility, and for that reason, it's more impressive than somebody who picks up 10 bases with a two homers and a double. But . . .
If you look at the list of 232 cycles, only 62 have been by HOFers. If the cycle really was an indicator of skill, and not just an oddity, wouldn't you expect the list of "cycle club" members to be much more impressive? 354 Days ago

All-star game is a popularity contest. He played in Toronto, which is a small market, and AZ which gets overlooked by media all the time. 354 Days ago

congrats to Aaron it's good to see him get back to being the player he was in 2009 with the jays..i guess all he needed was a change of scenery to get his game back 354 Days ago

If this was the red sox or Yankees it would be well covered. The classic national sports gaffe is when they refer to Arizona state as the wildcats 354 Days ago
