seems to me that there is more then just for a grip these pitchers are doing it which begs the question this has been going on since baseball was invented. No matter how anyone wants to perceive it cheating is part of the game it happens in every sport that is why it is a joke that these hall of famers are all up in arms over the steriod era boys and that they shouldnt belong because of the integrity of the game. People in the hall there are cocaine users (molitor),vaseline users (phil niekro, gaylord perry),amphetamine (hank aaron), racist (ty cobb), wife beater (kirby puckett), doctoring baseballs (whitey ford) list goes on and on. the hall of famers and writers are all phonies. Even now a pitcher (Chris Perez) admits to rampant usage in every team and yet he is labled a snitch just for stating the obvious truth thats because baseball does not want to admit that there is rampant usage of steriods and pitchers in order to keep up with these big hitters must go back to the good ol days where a little pine tar will do the trick.

He's got 23 straight saves to go with a 2.54 ERA and has struck out the side multiple times the last few weeks... I think he is just fine in that department.

I know for a fact that Chris Perez is using hot sauce on the mound. I've seen the packets scattered around the rubber after the game.

So lets check them all. Just because the foreign substance is outside the body rather than inside doesn't make it any less cheating.

Chris Perez is a breath of fresh air in MLB. He's going to say what he thinks, whether it is politically correct or not. He's a real person, not some guy more worried about his endorsement deals, or how long he milk out a career. Carry on Chris Perez.

Dave Duncan was on the radio yesterday and said Perez was right that some guys use stuff but it typically was sunscreen. It's all over the league.

seems like every pitcher touches something before throwing, whether it be their mouth, arms, hair, the brim of their hat, etc.

Joel Peralta supplied the wick, and Chris Perez just lit it.

If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'. Seriously though, corked bats, sign stealing, and pine tar have been around for over 100 years now... not sure why you're so surprised, unless you're brand new to the sport. If you're not then you know that old tactics like this are almost as much of a storied tradition as the game itself.

How long have you been a fan? This stuff's been going-on for the last 100 years. Don't act so surprised and indignant that it's shoved in your face all of a sudden. Cheating in baseball is older than half of the franchises in MLB.
