Tiger struggles again in final round

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Just as one tournament victory never meant that Tiger Woods was a lock to win the Masters, one poor performance should not be viewed as some kind of doom and gloom scenario. And yet, ...

Hey Tiger, have you considered tennis? The ball is bigger and there's no trees.

It was a little surprising to see Tiger not contend at the Masters, that is rare. Its hilarious that people think he's done though. He just won Bay Hill, a few weeks ago by a landslide. He's obvioulsy not what he was, but the guy is going to win a lot more golf tournaments. He just had an off week, it happens. As far as this whole he acted poorly by kicking his club, give me a freakin break. Its just over-analyzed because he's Tiger. I was out there 3 of the 4 days and can't count at least 15 other golfer who cussed or banged their clubs. Henrik Stenson beat the hell out of the ground with his club on 18 Thursday and nobody said a word. People need to chill a little bit analyzing every little thing Tiger does.

Yall they broke the mold in Bubba Watson case, because he is overrated and finally got a GREEN JACKET. Tiger NEVER had a mold to break because he is ONE OF KIND.

The last time Tiger took some time off it was not good for golf. Tiger's wife had a boyfriend before he got caught. Trust me if she didn't there would be no way for her to date another man so fast. Tiger is a man and if Paul Asszinger and other hasn't at some point have not cheated on their wives, they are LIARS. The last time Tiger took time off, the tournaments and sponsors loss a lot of money. If Tiger is punished for expressing emotions, then EVERY GOLFER need to be punished. McIroy should frustration at the Masters, where is the talk about his behavior.

Jeez, why all the haters? Tiger is one of the nicest and most well-behaved players out there. Never cusses, always waving to fans and smiling, kissing babies as he goes down the fairway. I even saw him hit a shot while calming a crying child once. And of course he holed it. And he never cheated on his wife either; it was just the other way around. Guaranteed a great guy like that wins at least 256 more tournaments, 28 majors, and doubles Byron Nelson's consecutive streak. Go TIGER!!!

It's really simple why Tiger shouldn't throw clubs and use curse words whilst playing... because he is the most famous golfer alive and every shot he hits in a tournament is going to be on TV - which means every child watching sees him do it. Then there is no reprimand, no penalty and Tiger is hailed by many as the greatest of all time. That's a really bad message to send to the kids who idolise him, and no it's not his job to be a role model but his success has made him one. He himself said he would be have better and if anything he's getting worse. Of all the things he did - smasing his driver into the tee box and doing significant damage to it was probably the worse - it's child like and he should and does know better.

Have you watched Prime Time tv lately? What Tiger has done is nothing compared to this which is on every night. So if you think that kids seeing, and most likely most of the kids haven't, Tiger have a frustration issue, then maybe you better not let your kids watch Golf. LOLOLOLOL Like they would anyways.

TW's kicking of the club didn't bother me at all. His constant dropping of his club bothers me...he's hit enough bad shots in the last few years that they shouldn't be a shock to him. As for the National's members...why is their opinion so important?

I met a pro golfer who was on the tour back in 80's & 90's thru my cousins 2nd marriage. He told me about all partying and women that was going on in every tour stop. He said i would be shocked to know what golferscheat on their wifes. I asked who? But he wouldn't tell me. He did say he got caught cheating on his wife at a tour stop. It ruined his marriage and family. I do know this Pro had a bad temper and acted out on the course which hurt him from becoming a top pro. He plays on the Champions Tour now. You take a change but don't get caught. plays on the Champions Tour. Just saying you take a change but don't get caught!

Ignorance and being naive and a know it all 79Realist is what makes the negativity and bashing come out. You need to calm down, you are not right on everything, people do good and bad things, but they are no different than you or I. When you do realize this, I hope it isn't while you are just about to die. Life is to short to have conflict and negativity, but hey, if that is what you want, go for it.

Here's a good recipe for disaster -- Go to the range after your 2nd round at Masters and analyze footage of your swing with Foley. Really Tiger? Here's an idea -- take a few days off, go chill with Federer on his yacht (who could prob help u way more than Foley right now). And like Jordan once told Mahan, "keep it simple dawg." I really don't care what any of them do off the golf course. Good father, husband that's great. That has nothing to do on the golf course that day. Any day! dig1614, Yes, I would agree that a man who is past his 36th birthday should be mature and act like an adult. But as you can see, several of his ardent fans are willing to defend any and all of his deplorable behavior. One even wrote that Tiger's tantrums should be overlooked since he is merely trying to be the best, and that we peasants don't understand what it means to be great.

You put a change on someone's words to irritate them, now that is real mature. You are worse than the person you hate, Tiger Woods. You have to be pretty pathetic, ignorant, and just a flat out coward to have so much hatred for a man you don't know. You have to be a coward to hide around the blog to make frivolous challenges to everyone else.

79, I am not you that will takes things personally from Tiger Woods. I don't know the man. You make it seem that he has personally done you injustice. As a fan, you are entitled to your opinion as are the others on the board that you constantly criticize for rooting for Woods. Personally, I don't like to see anyone throwing a fit, but as I said, it happens on every tour and all levels. I don't expect players to have the class of Nicklaus or be as loved as Palmer. That what made those two great because they knew how to act like gentlemen. There are players who do represent the game well, like a Matt Kuchar. I got to meet Jonathan Byrd in Hawaii, and he was very gracious, and now one my favorite players on Tour. As for Tiger, definitely one of the best talents ever to play, as person, I don't care because I don't know him.

Tiger's behavior on the course has been inappropriate at times but he is not the only one. Tommy Bolt threw clubs in the pond, and broke clubs. Bobby Jones at one time had one of the worst tempers on the course. Ben Hogan was not very approachable. In modern day you got the antics of John Daly, Sergio's spitting in the cup, giving the gallery the bird, and then you got Pat Perez and all his antics. One year Jay Williamson fired his caddie on the course. Bad behavior is everywhere, on every tour. Tiger gets singled out because he is on camera every moment. Some of you make it like he is the only one that throws a tantrum.
