Fight Credential
Alvarez-Lara

ESPNDeportes.com
Canelo Alvarez enters the most complicated and dangerous challenge of his career (aside from his 2013 showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr.) against the Cuban southpaw Erislandy Lara. Alvarez (43-1-1, 31 KOs) will look to prove his quality as a fighter in the face of his critics. Lara (19-1-2, 12 KOs), meanwhile, will need to show he's up for the challenge he has been chasing for so long. In a clash of boxing schools (Mexico vs. Cuba), the fight will be a confrontation of aggression versus technical ability and constant pressure against speed. It's difficult to predict the result of this style clash, but we can still try.
