How can a team that lost three starters and 55 percent of its scoring still be preseason top-10? C.J. Fair is a good place to start. The senior forward led the Orange in scoring (14.5) and rebounding (7.0) last season and decided the NBA could wait another year. Adding to the mix is an influx of talented newcomers, including true freshman point guard Tyler Ennis and Duke transfer Michael Gbinije. And considering coach Jim Boeheim continues to find five guys with length to play that vaunted 2-3 zone, the Orange will again be title contenders their first year in the ACC. -- C.L. Brown
