Do these dip shyts realize she was in the last wimbledon final and demolished the #1 and #2 players in the world a couple of months ago? I think many of you wish she was done because you know at her best she will kill the entire WTA. Keep wishing for her retirement but it's not happending any time soon. There is no player in her generation that even comes close.

No, they really don't. It's fine. Let them hate.

Some of the comments here are disgusting and absolutely shameful. Serena Williams could retire tomorrow and she still would be ten times the legend of any of the top 10 players of the WTA currently. Keep insulting her looks; it makes you all look pathetic. I'm glad she's continuing to play. Her disappearance from the tennis scene since her injuries has had a profound impact on WTA. Players without a grand slam with the number one ranking, really? But most of all, the level of competition has dropped significantly. The Williams sisters have revolutionized tennis, and the day they leave will be a sad one for women's tennis.

T-Rex lumbering around trying to smash everything is not a viable tennis strategy. Her lack of mobility, stamina, durability and desire have finally caught up. Stick a fork in her, she's done!

Serena should show her passion, love and skills on the court. Standing emotionless and hitting the ball would not help her. She is the best server in the game. Right from the start she needs to show it and defend her serve ferociously. Then no one can beat her

It seems all you haters can't appreciate the game of tennis for which Serena plays, We all know during this Wimbledon and throughout that if all the girls behave and play their games, Serena will be victorious yet again.... P.S. Forget Sharapova, I'm looking for a Serena vs Clijsters matchup, Serena will be prepared and eager to improve her record to 8 - 2

Serena has been circling the drain for several years now. Time for that keester of hers to retire and reach its true potential.

I'm surprised that you didn't comment on how Serena was on last week's episode of "The Choice."

This tells me that Serena will play another 4 yrs until she breaks Graf's record. And also confirms that Venus will focus on Doubles and Mix Doubles.

The chance of Serena breaking Graf's record at this stage of her career are about .0000000001 %., or realistically: 0.

It will be a great tournament if Sharapova fights it out for her second Wimbledon against Serena. Of course its doubtful if Sharapova can muster a win against Serena having lost all her matches in the last eight years. But anything is possible. Go Maria! http://myballsmyballs.blogspot.hk/2012/06/wimbledon-2012-womens-preview.html

Just reading some of these comments. I hope no kids are looking at this. Now i'm going to bring a real answer. She has a good two years left in her career. She is a great American Tennis player who has accomplished a lot. Her game and record speak for themselves. No stereotypes or ignorant thoughts can bring this woman down. Bottom line when she is successful tennis is successful in America. When she is not tennis hurts. She along with Venus, and few men tennis players have carried this sports for last ten years or so. So yes she has had blowups so have others. One day when she is no longer on the court we will appreciate what this great American tennis player gave us on the tennis court.

Serena is no doubt a great champion, and a frustrating one at that. She could have won a lot more after her early taste of victories, but was sidestepped into forays into acting and design. And then to cut her feet at a German restaurant? What was she doing, dancing barefoot on broken glass? That cost her big time. Hope she manages her health better, her will to win is unmistakeable and she's still a threat to all the players (women and men).

It's just funny to see someone denigrate the accomplishments of an elite athlete on a "message board". It doesn't matter who it is. What these athletes do takes alot of sacrifice and effort. Meanwhile, all you're doing is typing.

Sorry to tarnish the image of your Queen. Keep polishing that throne, though no matter how hard you polish, the smudges will keep reappearing.
