Things aren't exactly dandy for the two Andys. I'm talking about Roddick and Murray, who have been reliable performers for years now, despite the long shadows cast by the ruling triumvirate of men's... Read full story
It's unreal how much bias Dodo has for Roddick. I am sure if he they were both single, Dodo would ask him out on a date. 336 Days ago

i'm afraid roddick may need to hang it up with all the injuries. he was playing so well not that long ago tho. as for murray, he may be the most frustrating player on tour. he needs to pull himself together or he'll never get past where he's been now for years. 337 Days ago

Never understood why Roddick never could afford to buy shirts that fit him, and why Murray has to whine after every point 338 Days ago

nadal also couldnt afford underwear that fit him 337 Days ago

Why do you think that Roddick never could afford to buy shirts that fit him? He has career prize winnings of more than $20 million. And I've seen plenty of points after which Murray didn't whine. He didn't whine after match point against Nadal in Tokyo last year, to take just one example. 338 Days ago

well that's a very literal interpretation of "every point". 337 Days ago

Roddick has already made the Wimbledon finals three times in his career (2004, 2005, 2009), it would be his fourth if he's able to make it. 338 Days ago

there is a better chance of me 'making it' with his bikini model wife. roddick should retire from tennis yesterday. he is DONE. 336 Days ago

roddick tasted success too early in his career. maybe he thought it was easy and didnt have the urge to work harder, no ?

jojo you are so right. i always thought so about andy roddick. i watched him win his. only u.s. open and he was so casual about it as if he was saying to himself "this is no big deal, this is just one of many slams." he believed his own hype and really believed he was the second coming of pete sampras. 337 Days ago

I remember him looking dumbfounded after the win, didn't he cry? He looked like he couldn't believe he had won, that he didn't belong, and he might have been right. But he worked his $@% off to compete with more talented players with so much more shot making ability and ultimately the 09 final against Roger was probably the match of his life and something to be proud of. Aside from Roddick US tennis has had little celebrate on the mens side so just try to be appreciative of his career in which he probably overachieved as just another big server in an era full of great shotmakers 315 Days ago

Roddick should have won 2009 wimby, can't blow the tie breaker up 6-2 on serve... 338 Days ago

Roddick's success came at a really weak era of tennis. Hewitt got hurt and Safin had mental issues. Roger was able to train wreck that so called competition. It's a shame that Roger's prime was in such a weak era. Imagine if Roger was just 25 or 26 right now. The rivalry between he, Nadal, and Djokovic would have been even better. 338 Days ago

Anyone who says Murray will be fine is not seeing what most other people see. That is, Murray is extremely volatile and mentally weak. He gets down on himself too quickly and doesn't seem to have the intangibles that it takes to breakthrough. At least Roddick has one a major. 338 Days ago

ivan lendl is fixing that as time goes bad. He went from losing in straight sets in the 2011 aussie open to djokovic, to this year he lost to him in 5 hard sets in the semi's. Murray is growing and will have a great shot at the US Open 337 Days ago

Roddick problem was coming back too soon from injuries instead of trying to mend them.
All that does is keep aggravating thus stopping him from playing to his full potential.
By now, it could be too little, too late.
He may flash moments of nice past but that's about it.
For Murray, I wonder how much longer Ivan will stay with him. He isn't showing much and is also hampered with injuries.
He may play into second half but it's hard to imagine him being in semifinal or further. 338 Days ago
