I did not know she had that much potential, I don't think Stosur will be able to overpower her like she did Cibul today. She is a really scrappy player.

Yes, she is...and I guess that is her strength. Another thing she has going for her is that she is a natural mover on clay. The movement made a huge difference in her win over Kerber.

It is impossible for the kind of long shrieks uttered by the likes of Sharapova not to effect her opponent even if they are largely used to it. That is the reason players like Azarenka and Sharapova emit these noises..these are tactical ploys. Whether fans hate them or not is another matter.

You clearly are obsessed or like making the same comment over and over again. We get it. You don't like Sharapova's (and Azarenka's noises) and think its deliberate, even cheating. Maybe it's time to come up with something new to discuss or give it a rest.

Why was Sharapova pulling a Cheatina Henin. In the tiebreak during the 2nd point she held up her hand thinking the ball was going out, umpire on her way down off the chair while playing, then she realized it was in, hits it and continue play til' she hit the winner but once the umpire reaches her she argues that she didn't hold up her hand and tries to stop play, so umpire awarded the point to Zap. No wonder the crowd booed her. In the heat of playing she tries to pull a fast one. Then the silly commentators did not call it for what it was, all they had to say was she usually has good sportsmanship, well obviously not that day or when she ask the ump is he was fing kidding her http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cmMpZekjD8.

Shrieking makes the game more animated, otherwise if a sporting match is silent then we'll start hearing zzzzzz zzzzz zzzzz.! Go to a English Premier League match and you will think that the tennis grunts or shrieks are too genteel.

Sharapova should have won this game in two sets. When the draw gives you unranked players, she should not be struggling to win this game. This game exposed Sharapova game, its not that good. She is getting help from the draw. Look at the other draws, these girls are really playing well. This draw is given to Sharapova and she is struggling like hell to get there.
