Is Jennings the loser in the Redick deal?

It's hardly a surprise that J.J. Redick is playing fewer minutes with the Milwaukee Bucks, but what is going on with Brandon Jennings?

It's been only two games, but consider the numbers: When Redick debuted with his new team against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday, Jennings managed just 11 points (4-of-11 shooting) and five assists while playing only 30 minutes -- well below his season average of 37 minutes per game. On Tuesday, just hours after Jennings -- who will be a restricted free agent this summer -- told Dallas area media members how much he'd enjoy playing with Dirk Nowitzki, he found himself benched (replaced by Redick) for the final three minutes of the Bucks' narrow win over the Dallas Mavericks. Once again, Jennings posted pedestrian stats: eight points (3-of-11 shooting), six assists, zero 3-pointers and zero steals in 32 minutes.

Meanwhile, Monta Ellis (22 points, 9 assists, 6 steals) manned the point down the stretch. Despite finishing the game, Redick (14 points, 2 3-pointers) played only 23 minutes against the Mavs.

Again, it's only two games. As a fantasy owner, about all I can say is that I'd be a little more interested in trading for Ellis and a little more motivated to move Jennings. At the very least, the Bucks should provide some intrigue over the next few games.

Looking Back

• Don't be surprised if Roy Hibbert receives a one-game suspension for his part in the scuffle that took place late in the Indiana Pacers-Golden State Warriors game. The big man didn't seem to do much other than try to free himself from Stephen Curry -- whose attempts to restrain someone a foot taller and about 100 pounds heavier were more amusing than anything -- but Hibbert was the only player ejected from the melee. The Pacers host the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.

• Speaking of the Pacers, Danny Granger had only five points in 19 minutes against the Warriors. Cumulatively, Granger is just 2-for-17 from the field over his first two games back.

Andrei Kirilenko played 10 minutes against the Phoenix Suns before departing with a left calf strain. Players inactive on Tuesday included Joe Johnson (heel), who missed his third straight game, and Jamal Crawford (personal). Crawford was with his wife, who gave birth to their daughter. He is expected to return Thursday against the Pacers.

Tobias Harris (16 points, 7 rebounds) had another nice outing for the Orlando Magic. In two games, the ex-Buck has played more and been more productive than Andrew Nicholson. Harris is worth adding in large leagues of at least 14 teams.

Looking Ahead

• Coming off a blistering 36-point, eight-trey performance against the Miami Heat on Tuesday, Marcus Thornton faces a Magic team that is pretty vulnerable to the 3-pointer. Orlando has yielded 75 3-pointers over its previous 10 games.

Danilo Gallinari (thigh) was limited in practice Tuesday, so it wouldn't be surprising if he sits out again. Should Gallo miss another game, Wilson Chandler (23 points, 3 3s against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday) is a solid fill-in play. The Denver Nuggets visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.

• After missing Tuesday's game, Kyrie Irving (knee) isn't expected to play when the Cleveland Cavaliers host the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.

Brandon Knight (knee) is a game-time decision for the Detroit Pistons, who visit the Washington Wizards. Knight has missed the past three games.
