Fantasy football: Five position battles to watch during training camp

The most compelling position battles during training camp are often those that take place under center between two -- or even more -- quarterbacks. This year, Buffalo, the New York Jets, Houston and (perhaps) Cleveland are among the teams that will settle a quarterback competition at some point before the season commences in September. But thinking through the lens of fantasy football -- and at the risk of sounding like a wet blanket -- none of those quarterback competitions do much to move the needle on the outlook of the respective wide receivers or tight ends who will catch passes for said teams. As in, your outlook for Sammy Watkins should be formulated on factors other than who throws him the football in 2015, because the gap between the eventual Bills starter and those who fall in as reserves is not decidedly wide.

But there are position battles that will commence soon -- or have begun already -- that are worth monitoring as you prepare for draft season. Below is a look at five of fantasy relevance, starting with the race to become the heir apparent to DeMarco Murray in the Dallas backfield.
