QB, WR options down the stretch

The trade deadline in ESPN.com standard leagues passed on Wednesday, so from now on, you'll have to hope the players currently on your team are good enough to carry you to the championship -- or that there is someone to grab off of the waiver wire.

This week, I'll get into a veteran quarterback who should be getting more consideration down the stretch, along with two rising young stars who are worth your attention.

Eli Manning is worth having on your roster down the stretch

Here's my deal with Eli: He is the perfect guy to have on your team as either a matchup play these next few weeks, or as insurance if you've got a starter with injury concerns.

Even coming off a game like he had in Week 11 -- and, make no mistake, he was terrible -- he's still the No. 13 fantasy QB this season; he's only three points behind Colin Kaepernick. Heading into that game, he had 17 touchdowns and only six picks, which is a strong ratio. Maybe you've got Kaepernick on your team and aren't sure about him this week; Eli could be a good alternative. Same with Matthew Stafford, who's been underwhelming, or Tony Romo, who has a broken back.
