32 fantasy tips to win in Week 3

NFL, Fantasy NFL

Welcome back to Fantasy 32. Below I'll provide 32 notes covering each of the league's 32 teams.

Use these tidbits to make the best waiver-wire, trade and lineup decisions and come up with a win in Week 3. Be sure to check back each week of the season for a new version.

1. Torrey Smith was targeted only twice in Week 2. Entering the game, he had been below three targets in a single game twice in his entire career -- his NFL debut back in 2011, and a Week 17 game in 2012 in which the starters played only 16 snaps. Smith has run 90 of a possible 100 routes this season and, despite the slow start, remains a featured target in the Baltimore attack. Buy low and expect WR3 production going forward.

2. So much for that running back-by-committee in Pittsburgh. Through two games, Le'Veon Bell has handled 109 snaps to LeGarrette Blount's 14. Bell has 34 carries to Blount's seven. Bell has run 64 pass routes to Blount's six. You get the idea. Averaging a sustainable 21.5 touches per game and looking more explosive than he's ever been, Bell is a strong RB1 option going forward.

3. Filling in for an injured Robert Griffin III, Kirk Cousins completed 22 of 33 throws for 250 yards and two scores on Sunday. That's obviously some effective play, but it's even more impressive when you consider that his 12.2-yard average depth of throw is highest among all quarterbacks this season. Cousins isn't afraid to chuck it deep, which is great news for the fantasy prospects of DeSean Jackson, who escaped a big injury Sunday.
