I'm in an 8 person roto-league that counts Holds. I am having a very hard time holding onto Johnny Venters with the way he has been pitching this year. Do you think I should drop him for the likes of David Robertson (coming back this week and will likely pitch the 8th), or Grilli from Pittsburgh who is having a phenomenal season? I only have one spot on my roster for a set-up guy and I'm looking for someone that will yield a decent amount of holds.

Keep Venters. His stuff is still nasty and once he fixes his control issues he'll be one of the top set up men once again. Fredi still has confidence in him and he got a confidence booster tonight against the Yanks, so hopefully he'll regain confidence in his pitches.. EK - What about Jonny Venters? Is he a viable middle reliever this season? I've been patient with him this year, but it's starting to run out.

Regarding Hudson you say "he's not a top-30 starting pitcher anymore", which I agree with, but then for the ROS you would go Hudson / Beachy / Hanson?? I have a hard time seeing Beachy as not a top 30 starter ROS and could easily see Hanson in there as well.

his final numbers wil be along the lines of a 3 ERA, 1.2 WHIP, 7.5-8 K/9

No doubt his ERA / Whip will regress but I think there will be an up-tick in K/9 (which has started to happen recently) which will help mitigate it. Saying his ERA will double is possible, albeit a longshot, but saying it will triple is ridiculous.

Beachy has been the luckiest pitcher in baseball, he's going to finish the season with an ERA double if not triple that his is at right now. His K/9 is lower than what it was last year, sell as quickly as you can.

Says the guy who clearly does no research, and didn't read any of the interviews with Beachy during ST when he talked about pitching to weak contact rather than racking up Ks so that he could pitch deeper into ballgames.

Beachy with a 6.00 ERA? Really?

Maybe he's concerned about Beachy's elbow soreness not to place him there? Otherwise, I agree he should be in top 30.
