May 10, 2012

"Trust me," I tell her. But she won't listen.I continue. "I know what I am talking about. Ask any guy," I insist. "They'll back me up." "You don't understand," she counters. "I know him, you don't,...

By the way, Berry, thank your higher power that you have this cushy ESPN gig and the creative writing class you take at LA Comm. College. Let that be your outlet for all this extraneous blather. Why burden the rest of us?

Would you give Beltre to get Adrian Gonzalez?

So respectively speaking, about 2 weeks ago, you, Mr. Berry, wrote this article http://sports.espn.go.com/fantasy/baseball/flb/story?page=TMR120510 in which you pick 5 hitters to "buy low". One of which happened to be rickie weeks. I hate to say it but I value your opinion and therefore traded for Weeks like you took the time to reccommend. And now, you come out today and say trade "away" rickie?! COME ON, MAN! I mean, REALLY?! How do u make a living giving fantasy advice to me?! To quote lloyd christmas, "Ive had it with this dump!". I just cant take anything you say with merit anymore. Todd Zola is the best thing espn fantasy baseball's got goin right now.

Well, I didn't say to trade Rickiem just that I am fearful his current production (or lack therof) will continue. Not sure how to respond. You mean to tell me I should never change my opinion even when presented with more data? I liked Weeks. Always have. I hope I am wrong. But the optimism I had for him two weeks ago fades with each day. I can't comment on your specific trade because I didn't see it, but it may have been a trade I would have not done even two weeks ago. Or maybe it's a great one regardless. Either way, I agree with you Todd is terrific.

wow, i wouldnt expect you to read the comments, much less respond, but thats pretty cool you did. Thanks for taking the time to comment and maybe you'll remember this dialouge come season's end when you think back at the year that was for Rickie Weeks.

Scherzer had a great night. You are good at what you do. I should have bought so low that I didn't buy him at all.

Been holding Ryan Howard since draft and just got offered Freddie Freeman for him... I want to accept but something keeps on holding me back... thoughts?

Take Freeman. Howard is still an injury risk even if he is back earlier than expected.

is having Trumbo, Konerko, Teixeira, Votto, and ryan howard(DL) overkill? who should i trade? and who should i target?

Scherzer might be filthy, but he has never made it out of the first inning in under 35 pitches, 2 earned runs, and 2 walks.

So I am that last place team you speak of...mostly because guys like Tulo, Votto and Justin Upton are severely underperforming. Meanwhile I already have several players on your "buy low" list (Rickie Weeks, Ervin Santana). What am I to do? Give up on 5 category Justin Upton?

I get Hunter Pence and Chad Billingsley and give James Shields and Bryce Harper. Go or no go??

no...you are trading for the dullest baseball players on earth. Shields and Harper are upside guys, the other two are not.

Brian McCann is my starting catcher. Do I keep backing him up with Buster Posey, or grab Ryan Doumit or AJ Pierzynski off waivers??

are you insane? You were gonna drop Buster Posey? No wonder I finish in the top 3 of every fantasy league I play.

Don't tell me you are thinking of dropping Buster Posey... Hold onto him or trade him, but you can't drop him.

Jimmy Rollins for Jonathen Papelbon. I get Papelbon. I desperatly need save and if I get him I have 100 point potential in a 10 man normal league.(I also have Stephen Drew on my DL ready to activate when ready). Also, whats up with Alexei Ramirez?

Rollins is a hack these days, trash him.

Good stuff, but not sure I agree with Josh Johnson. Somthing is wrong with him. He has been horrible. I will not let him ruin my team. Ok, i had him earlier in the season and I had him last yr and I picked him up late last yr to be let down twice. I cant take it anymore. Dont bring his name up again. Holding on to Hos. Even with the low avg, he hits some homers, steals, scores some runs and gets some RBI. Once he kicks in, look out.

Just traded Brandon Morrow for Andrew McCutchen! What do you guys think. I already had jake Peavy, yovani Gallardo, zach Grenkie, jon Lester, dan Haren, Anibal Snachez, and Chris Capuano. Now my OF is Justin Upton Chris Young Hunter Pence Andrew McCuthchen Austin Jackson BE Cespedes/Cruz
