MIAMI -- Taking the court for the first time as foes, Hornets big man Anthony Davis walked over to LeBron James before Friday’s tipoff, gave him a hug and said something that made the reigning MVP crack a smile. James and Davis are good friends. They were teammates on the Team USA squad that ...

He exposed that the heats main weakness is length. They cant guard it, not even lebron. They had trouble with the pacers in the playoffs theyll have problems this year. Watch....

Bosh has to defend howard, kaman, Tyson chandler, brooke lopez... Those arent all huge offensive threats but you honestly think bosh is tough enough pysicallty and mentally to battle these dudes all seasons?

no great player can guard and shut down another great player...not without help. No one is going to shut down LeBron or Howard...Bosh don't need to worry about guarding the other scrubs you mention lol. They can put Shane Battier on those twarts

That was only because Bosh wasn't in those Games. They play perfectly Fine against Length when Bosh is at the Center

Actually as a guy who entered the league out of high school, playing in the playoff each year and playing in the world championships and Olympics...LBJ is the oldest 27 year old in the league.

Even tho it was just a preseason game, Anthony Davis did a good job. He's going to be a great NBA player. The only way I see him being a flop is if he gets big headed or injury plagued.

wow. i had so much hope for austin rivers but he can't stop getting injured. I hope he comes back asap healthy

Who thinks he was just OK? He looked fantastic. He's not the best in the league by a country mile, but for a 19 year old in a pre-season game he was lights out. What upside.

Yeah, he's going to be good. He has impressed me ever since the Olympics. And I can't believe he's only 19 too. Too bad he's going to lose out on $100 million in endorsement deals because he's so ugly.

Damn the hype machine is in full force based off this comments sections. People forget Davis has been playing in the preseason, let the dude play a full NBA game before crowning the guy king.

Right. Most players aren't even trying in the preseason. Most of them are just ready for the regular season to begin.

That doesn't make any sense, he was in the second grade in 2002? That's 10 years ago, he's 19. Anthony Davis was 9 in the second grade? You're supposed to be like 7 haha

Just busting you Dunn, since you were calling Joseph dumb. Look at your grade school yearbook - in February 2002 you were in 3rd grade. If you graduated high school in 2011. I wasn't confused by your age reference... age doesn't matter.

No big deal Dunn, I was simply saying if you (and Davis) were in the 2nd grade in February 2002 when that SI cover came out - then you both would have graduated with the class of 2012. You mentioned you graduated with the class of 2011, which would mean in February 2011 - you were a senior, correct? I'm just busting balls here because you called Joseph dumb... but do the math. In February 2002, you were in 3rd grade, not 2nd. Your 2nd grade years were 2000-2001.

That's some confusing stuff lol, may take awhile to understand b/c took me awhile to actually explain it, im not good at explaining my math work. Never have i prefer to do it in my head.

When you are in school you are in a grade for two years. Years in the 2nd grade took place from 2001-2002, not only 2002. and btw davis was born sometime in march. Davis was born in 1993, not 1992. So after the summer of 2001 he was 8 up until lebron cover he was still 8 which was in feb. of 2002. In march of 2002 is when he turned 9, and ten years later hes now 19, and will be 20 next year which is 2013. I may have confused you when i said " in second grade u are either 7 or 8" i forgot to mention the age in which you leave the 2nd grade which is 8 or 9 depending on when you were born or started school.

LOL. Look up your elementary school yearbook Dunn, in February 2002 - you were in 3rd grade. So was the entire class of 2011., except for those skipping grades.

That's great - then you can tell us first hand. You graduated high school in 2011. So in February 2002, when Lebron graced the cover - you were (like Davis), in 2nd grade, correct? Because counting the years, either you both skipped a grade - or my math's a little fuzzy.

Downtown i know this because he graduated in the same high school class that i did, c/o 2011. So i don't get why you questioning me.

Are you dumb? He went to college at the age 18. Not once does it say 10 years ago in the article. "When James graced the cover of Sports Illustrated back in 2002 as The Chosen One, Davis was in "[second grade]". James first watched Davis "[eight years later]" when Davis was a "[sophomore]" at Perspectives Charter School in Chicago." In second grade you are either 7 or 8. "Eight years later" from that puts him in high school you are either 15 or 16 and a "sophomore". Do the math and he turned 19 this year, so what are you getting at?

If it says in 2002 and its 2012 now im pretty sure thats 10 years....correct me if im wrong..

Downtown912
You're right Dunn, he must be dumb. It never once says 10 years ago. Only that in 2002, Davis was in second grade. "Eight years later", and you're right again Dunn... that would put him at 15-16, and a "sophomore". So just to confirm, eight years after 2002 is 2010, right? How many years are we past 2010?
