BRADENTON, Fla. -- What you are about to hear is the answer that any NFL coach or front-office employee is going to get at next week’s scouting combine when they ask Wisconsin quarterback Russell Wilson about his height. “The height issue is not a factor," Wilson said. “There is ...

I am not a Wisconsin fan or Big Ten fan, rather a pure college football fan. And in my opinion, Rusell Wilson was the best QB in college football last year. He has the arm, the athletic ability and most of all accuracy. And he broke records in an offense that was not all passing as other QB's did in Baylor, OK ST and Stanford. He should be the number 1 pick. Height should not be an issue. He posses just as much talent as any QB but has shown better accuracy than all of them.

You lumped Stanford in with passing teams? That was actually Stanford's shortfall, a lack of WRs. A power running game, smash mouth football was Stanford's identity. What were you watching? Or did you watch? Luck didn't pass much this year.

totally agree with you. for his height he is very athletic and his arm strength is not the best but his accuracy was better than anybody in the nation in my opinion

He can throw the ball 60 yards just with the flick of his wrist, I think he may have the strongest arm of the 2012 class.

I honestly believe he's perfect for the Redskins, the offense Wisconsin runs mirrors Shanahans. But knowing bad franchises rather chase after big names rather than productive players, that being said he'll probably be picked up by the Saints or another smart team.

I think that he'd fit in well in DC too! I also think that MS has been making pretty decent moves to better the team thru the draft so hopefully he'll notice this guy. That's pretty impressive 72%, 33:4 and can definitely be used in Washington.

This kid can be a steal with the right patience and offense for him. He has true talent.

He deserves a try. He's a strong guy with a good arm. Any team worth their salt realizes the kid has potential.

Tim Tebow is laughable and he certainly hasn't won a Super Bowl.. which means he hasn't WON a championship at every single level.

Looking in the comments section I see a lot of these: HATERS, would-be prognosticators, and just straight-up jerk-offs, a.k.a. masturbators...Just $@%! and watch it do what it do. Russell Wilson CAN play QB, and he can do it in the NFL, as a starter. Not saying he will. Not saying he will be a Pro-Bowler. Just saying that he has the hunger, drive, dedication, and more accuracy and talent than Tim Tebow. If Tim Tebow can start in the NFL, take his team to the playoffs his first season at the helm, and beat a defense the caliber of Pittsburgh's...the naysayers and doubters about Wilson have been smoking something stronger than kush.

His height no matter how much he says its not a problem, still is a problem. Of course he is going to sell himself but he just wont cut it in the NFL 6 foot is pushing the height barrier a little and drew Brees has many balls batted down because of it, 2 inches shorter and your looking at a lot more batted balls as well as a lot of high throws. Not saying he cant do it but it will be very difficult for him to be successful in a league where you o-line averages is 6-5+ with defenders being 6-5+.

Batted balls don't mean anything. Tom Brady at 6'3 had 4 balls batted in the super bowl. And not one person mentioned about it. But if Brady was 6'0, surely so-called experts would've have said something. All qb's have balls batted. Its just part of the game and height has nothing to do with.

The height issue is not a factor," Sorry, Russell, but you're 5'10". You will not be a starting NFL QB. Can you run routes?

Seen him live in the senior bowl..He will be good, not ready to start just yet, but let him backup for a couple of years and he will be a steal for someone. Good luck Russ

The male skeleton of a human does not stop growing completely until age 23-26, so he may have some growth left, although it's not likely to be of the vertical variety.
