Ranking AFC East running backs
By James Walker

It started as a not-so-innocent comment in the AFC East blog. "I will go as far to say that Reggie Bush is the best RB in that division," PlayaMade5 said Tuesday. Occasionally, I like to take interesting comments to our AFC East Twitter account to gauge the public's reaction. It instantly created a...

I would give Greene the edge over Spiller just because Spiller hasn't proven himself yet and when the play of Fitzpatrick failed he proved unreliable.

He got it with Fred, Fred was one of the leading rushers n the NFL before he got hurt. He has always been good, but last year he was even better, then we got Spiller beside Jackson. Defense's are gonna have trouble with those 2

all of you are talking about his age.. you guys act like hes been in the league for 10 years! this is his only 3rd year starting. he doesnt even come close to NFL miles a normal back his age would have. and it doesnt matter how old you are. it matters if you can keep up with your body. conditioning lifting. fred jackson is huge and in his best shape yet.

how can Greene be worse than Spiller? Spiller hasn't done anything at all. At least Greene contributed. Jackson is old and coming off an injury. who knows what we'll see from him this year. Bush is younger and due for a breakout year. Bush should be #1.

Some people actually believe Bush is better than Fred Jackson? I do find that comical, even coming from Dolphins fans.

Um wow another blog from Walker that doesn't make sense. I wish I could talk to this guy and help him with his blogs. 1) He talks about Bush's durability and Jackson's soft hands.....Um ok wasn't it Jackson who got placed on IR for the rest of the season and Bush who finished a whole season? LOL got him there. 2) Bush is one of the best receiving backs in the game if not the best 3) Bush proved he can run between the tackles also last year. You can see this in his increase in his YAC (yards after contact) in case Walker didn't know that lol. 4) Jackson is 31 and his age is showing on his durability hence last year and Bush is only 27. He will be the better back this year hands down unless they both get injured.

I hope you meant that post as a joke. If not, you are sadly delusional.

Nobody can rip off yards like Reggie. Hated that NO never gave him a chance to be amazing. I really saw him as being the next Marshal Faulk but a bit faster; and I was thinking about the possibility of him being paired up with Manning this year. But, it also depends on what you want out of your running back. If you want a guy that can move a pile then you obviously aren't going to think he's the best. But, Reggie is the back that gets you 10+ in a flash if you can just get him 1 decent block. And he's not huge but I know he feels like he is sometimes & that's why you have to love him. Watch this year... it might not be all the time, but I guarantee there will be a number of times he'll try to run someone over. Usually fails, but once in a while it involves a corner back and that $@%! is awesome. And if you don't think he's tough... recall the screen in the playoffs against the Eagles where he probably took one of the most crushing shots anyone took all year??? Did he lay on the ground and cry?? NOPE, that fool tried to jump up and jog back to the huddle like a man. Did he make it... no... but he tried. PIMP

I love Reggie, but Fred Jackson is an absolute beast.

Agree for the most part although I doubt Jackson's ability to stay healthy he's getting up there in age. I like Jackson a lot but Bills fans think this guy can walk on water.

dolphins198413 - Agree for the most part although I doubt Jackson's ability to stay healthy he's getting up there in age. I like Jackson a lot but Bills fans think this guy can walk on water. No one ever said he was the greatest ever, not even close. Still he is the best in the AFCE.

The Jets will probably have the #1 ranked running game in the NFL....just like Denver did last season with Tebow. But that didn't equate to scoring as Denver was ranked 27th in scoring offense last season....yikes.

83whodat
With the Jets utilizing Tebow only in Wildcat situations....would be right to consider Tebow a RB this point?

Jebaroo
By the end of the season Bush should take the #1 spot if healthy. Fred Jackson coming off that broken leg will have a big effect. It will probably end something like this. 1. Bush 2. Spiller 3. Jackson 4. Tebow
