Let me get this straight...if President Barack Obama makes a TERRIBLE policy move that affects MILLIONS it's okay to criticize him, but if a player criticize an OBVIOUSLY BLOWN CALL...like the BLOWN CALL by the 3rd base umpire then that player or manager is FINED???? This is a PROBLEM, why are these umpires treated with MORE FEAR and RESPECT than Almighty God Himself??? The umpire FOULED UP...he getting PAID WELL, he should be MAN ENOUGH to accept CRITICISM and major league baseball should NOT be in the business of SILENCING fair and respectful criticism...why can Rush Limbaugh criticize Obama but players CANNOT criticize umpires???

And the Reds take over the National League Central Division, he said, with fingers crossed.

Just imagine what would happen if the pro sports leagues, refs, umpires, and TV networks all suddenly started treating NY teams like everyone else. NY fans would be in total shock and they would realize that they have been always getting the calls. ALWAYS.

"Well if u watch the replay it was fair" shut up if you watched the replay you will see the umpire call it foul and that means Beltran had another chance to hit and guess what, he couldnt.

Logical. So it's never the umpires faults. That's why they're as crap as they are now. Beltran was ROBBED of a hit. No way around it. If a guy hits a HR but it looks foul so the UMP says foul ball. Then the guy strikes out, it's obviously the batters fault right.

I think the most surprising part is the Cardinals' lack to get a hit.

So is the shutout that RA Dickey's throwing not a shut out because he got a dubious 3rd strike call in his favor against Matt Holliday at the end of the 6th with runners on the corners? Just a thought.

By all means, rally to the defense of officiating errors! Because, because,...well, just because! Umps have always mistakes! Therefore we should embrace them. Or something like that.

I disagree. There was one hit in Armando Gallaraga's one hitter. Should there have been? No. But that's how the game is played.
