Bill Williamson
Hi everyone, let's get rolling.
Chris Brissey (Little Rock, AR)
I'm happier with the Charger's recievers than I've been in a long time. The unit is versatile and we know Rivers can spread the ball out as well as anyone. One of our most important recievers (Ryan Mathews) keeps getting left off the ticket. I'm glad the Vjax saga is over, good riddance. What are your thoughts on our reciving situation?
Bill Williamson
I think it is a good overall group with each player offering something different. I like the way it sets up for San Diego.
Doug E. (Altamonte Springs, FL)
What are the logistics of how the Broncos do training camp? Since they do not go away for camp, do the players get to go home at night?
Bill Williamson
They stay at a local hotel for camp with shuttle busses taking the to the facility.
Luger (KCMO)
If Peyton hadn't come to Denver, what would be the main story in the AFC West? the ACL 3?
Bill Williamson
Or the new regime in Oakland.
Al (Wausau, WI)
Bill, how many teams from the AFC West do you think will make the playoffs this year?
Bill Williamson
I think we could easily see two team from the division in the playoffs, In fact, I'm expecting it.
Dan (Kansas City)
I heard Dwayne Bowe is suppose to sign his tender by week 1 of the regular season how long after that until he gets to play?
Bill Williamson
If that is the case, it will depend on how quickly he gets the system and how quickly he can get in football shape. There is a reason why camp starts in late July and not the first week of the season.
Brother Love (Pasadena, Texas)
The Chiefs must successfully pound the ball on the ground, but which Peyton Hillis will show up?
Bill Williamson
I think the talented pounder will show up. He will be fine.
Marvin Hinton (Biloxi,MS)
In 2011, the Raiders allowed explosive plays of 20-plus yards on the ground and through the air -- ranking 31st overall in this area. Have they been able to improve their scheme and their talent to prevent big plays? Both new corners, Ron Bartell and Shawntae Spencer, struggle to play man to man.
Bill Williamson
That is the challenge Dennis Allen and Jason Tarver face. Giving up the big play has long been Oakland's problem.
Chris (KS)
Hey Bill, I was just curious when are are heading to St. Joe to give us your take on the Chiefs' camp? Keep up the good work
Bill Williamson
Thanks, next week.
Jim S. (Walnut Creek, CA)
Which AFC West team has the best Special Teams this season?
Bill Williamson
You have to start with Oakland because of the punter, kicker and returnes.
Mark (Toronto)
I know this is sacrilege, but Shane Lechler is the fourth highest paid Raider this season. I love him, but a 5.6 mill cap hit is a lot for a punter. Is there any chance that Reggie, who has no ties to most of these guys, releases him for King?
Bill Williamson
This year. No way. That would be a shock.
Cobra Commander (Cobra Island)
The Chargers have six defensive starters over 30 years old. Not to mention, they had the worse red-zone defense in the NFL in 2011. Have they gotten better? Can free-agent addition Jarret Johnson become the other edge rusher to help pressure the passer?
Bill Williamson
I think they got tougher, more on the edge and much better on the defensive front. The key is the secondary.
John (Neb.)
After watching the HOF ceremonies, I got to thinking how come guys like Mecklenburg, Atwater, or even Rod Smith will never make it in? I know I may sound biased as a Bronco fan, but some of these guys that have had long, productive, and winning career's should make it in.
Bill Williamson
Every team has their HOF gripes.
Rob ((RobHab))
Rank The AFC West QB's?
Bill Williamson
Did it in March. Here it isManning, Rivers, Palmer, Cassel.
The unknown Warrior (Parts Unknown)
If you line up the top 4 receivers from KC and top 4 from Oak, Bowe is picked first, then the next 4 are the Oakland guys right?
Bill Williamson
Interesting. The answer is no. Baldwin would have to be in there. Maybe Breaston.
Luger (KCMO)
Bill, whats your take on Houston? I hear he's blowing up people in camp. Can you block him AND Hali?
Bill Williamson
I love Houston. He and Hali will eb nasty pass-rushing combo.
