The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks have, by some accounts, carried their NFC West rivalry into the offseason. When one team would make a high-profile move, the other would seem to have a move of its own ready.
Reviewing the Pro Football Hall of Fame's list of middle linebackers is a sobering experience. The position is well-represented, but almost all of the enshrinees -- Dick Butkus, Jack Lambert and Willie Lanier among them -- are drawn from a long-gone era of NFL defenses.
New York Jets rookie quarterback Geno Smith is the newest member of Roc Nation. Smith confirmed to reporters Wednesday that he’s decided to hire hip-hop mogul Jay Z's Roc Nation to represent him during negotiations with the Jets.
Congratulations to the Arizona Cardinals, who for the time being at least have won the reaction to Brian Urlacher's retirement with this tweet: You were who we thought you were. Congrats. RT @BUrlacher54: It was an honor to play my entire career for the @ChicagoBears.
Much thanks to @groomoo for delicately suggesting we take a more detailed look at the recently published average ages for projected NFL starters. 2013 Starter Age Rankings (Offense) Rank Team Avg.
