          MLB Kicks of the Week: Michael Harris wears fuzzy cleats

          This week in the MLB started with Jackie Robinson Day.

          Robinson broke the color barrier when made his historic debut on April 15, 1947. The MLB honored Robinson and his legacy by retiring his number throughout the league in 1997. It wasn't until 2009 that the league gave players and on-field personnel special No. 42 jerseys to celebrate the day.

          Players showed out honoring one of baseball's most iconic players with several tributes.

          Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton wore a pair of custom cleats that featured Robinson in his Brooklyn Dodgers uniform along with a quote from Robinson.

          St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Lars Nootbaar had his own version to commemorate the day.

          San Diego Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. wore a pair of brown Jordan's along with an image of Robinson sliding along the Nike swoosh.

          MLB players continued to show off their cleats throughout the week.

          Alex Verdugo, New York Yankees

          The left fielder rocked a pair of taxi-themed Jordans over the weekend versus the Tampa Bay Rays.

          New York is known for its signature taxis throughout the city. There are 13,587 taxis registered in New York, and each one has a medallion to distinguish itself.

          The Yankees went 2-1 in their weekend series -- with Verdugo's best game coming on Sunday -- where he went 3-for-4 and had 2 RBIs.

          Michael Harris, Atlanta Braves

          Harris' cleats were a nod to the Braves mascot, Blooper, who was designed by fans in 2018 at the Braves fan fest.

          Harris' shoes featured a fuzzy fur on the tongue of the shoe along with an image of Blooper on the side with mainly red and green colors.

          Harris and the Braves went 2-1 in their weekend series versus the Texas Rangers.

          Adolis Garcia, Texas Rangers

          In their lone win against the Braves during their weekend series, Garcia helped the Rangers to a 6-4 win with a two-run home run in the top of the eight.

          Right off the bat, Garcia met a 92 mph pitch with authority and sent the ball through right field, giving the Rangers a much-needed boost.

          Garcia wore a pair of lime green and bright orange Adidas cleats with a nod to ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball and went 2-for-4 in the game.
