The Detroit Lions are expected to create and operate a new bowl game at Ford Field starting in 2014, according to ESPN's Brett McMurphy, and the game could feature an ACC vs. Big Ten matchup. McMurphy reports the Lions would keep the Big Ten as an anchor in the bowl, but an ACC team would likely replace the MAC as the Big Ten's opponent in the game.
