Who will surpass Ohio State's NFL draft class in 2017?

Expect LSU's draft presence to pick up again in 2017, with the likes of Leonard Fournette and Malachi Dupre eligible. Derick E. Hingle/USA TODAY Sports

Twelve Ohio State players were selected in the NFL draft, all by the end of the fourth round (through the first 139 picks).

Should we expect any program to match that historic haul in 2017?

It's distinctly possible. Two or three schools could produce double-digit draft picks a year from now. Surprisingly, not far off that pace is a program that hasn't had a player drafted since 2014.

Here are the teams returning the most and best draft-eligible talent for the 2016 season:

1. LSU

Notable players: QB Brandon Harris; RB Leonard Fournette; WR Travin Dural; WR Malachi Dupre; OG Ethan Pocic; DE Deondre Clark; DE Tashawn Bower; DL Davon Godchaux; DT Christian LaCouture; EDGE Lewis Neal; LB Kendell Beckwith; CB Ed Paris; CB Tre'Davious White; S Jamal Adams
