Five MLB managers already on the hot seat

Every year, I write about the managers who are on the "hot seat." And every year I am reminded of the unfairness of baseball and how managers are treated. Usually, managers are fired because their team wasn’t good enough, and most of the time it’s not their fault, but rather a reality of the business. In a $10 billion business, someone has to be held accountable when things don't go well, and it’s usually the manager who takes the fall first.

Here is my list of managers on the hot seat. These are not the managers I think should be on the hot seat, but rather what the industry has told me. Last year, I listed six managers on the hot seat, and as you can see, five of the six have since been fired or tendered their resignations.
