Well, this really sucks. We are embarrassed by what’s unfolded the last three weeks and we’ve got to stop the bleeding. Ken Whisenhunt said he’d streamline the game plan for the offense so we can focus more narrowly on specific stuff, work it more in practice and think less as we execute it in the game. There are still adjustments going on to the new schemes, but that’s not an excuse for our failure to execute. Receivers need to catch, blockers need to block, pass rushers need to affect quarterbacks, coverage guys need to cover. We’re making some simple stuff more complicated than it needs to be. We need some switch to flip to get us back to what we showed we could be in Week 1. But we can’t wait around and look for someone else to flip it. We all need to reach for it, together.
