Just how bad is the Titans' current nine-game losing streak?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- In Peter King’s Monday Morning Quarterback column, he noted something special about Tennessee Titans' current nine-game losing streak.

Every team that has beaten the Titans during the streak was coming off at least one loss, and collectively they were coming off 24 straight losses. (It’s in the Stat of the Week section.)

I asked ESPN Stats and Info of they could examine context for that.

They took it to the Elias Sports Bureau.

And, you guessed it, it’s never been done before.

Nine consecutive losses with all of them against teams coming off a loss is the longest streak of its kind in NFL history.

The previous "record" was six, done by multiple teams. Most recently, it was done in 2010 by the Bengals and, yes, the Titans.

Tennessee can extend the record to 10 Sunday. The Colts got hammered in Dallas on Sunday and come to LP Field for the regular-season finale off a loss.
