RTC: Chance Warmack starting to get it

Reading the coverage of the Tennessee Titans…

It took Chance Warmack time to get a handle on his position at Alabama, and he’s experienced the same thing in the NFL, writes Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. "It's a process,” Warmack said. “You're not going to jump right in and be the best offensive lineman. You have to learn your assignments, and then once you learn your assignments you have to figure out how to make it work for you. But I am getting there."

To which I say: I’ve felt like Warmack’s been a little too patient and talked about the process a bit too much this year. But he has improved a great deal in recent weeks. And that’s the most important thing.

While other rookies have proven they are building blocks, running back Bishop Sankey has not reached that level, writes John Glennon of The Tennessean. "I think the biggest thing is just being patient, still being patient past the line of scrimmage," Sankey said. "It's really just having an idea where the play is going to open up before it actually happens. It's a matter of getting a better feel for that. There's been some times where I felt like I had a good feel for it, and other times where I got a little impatient, a little anxious."

To which I say: That troubles me. The first running back picked in the draft shouldn’t need much time to develop a feel for where things will open up. He should come into the league with that feel well developed already.
