We won't hear from Jake Locker until Thursday this week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Ken Whisenhunt said starting quarterback Jake Locker “did pretty much everything” at practice on Wednesday.

I don't watch practices that are off the record once the full team works together anyway, so we're left to take Whisenhunt's word. Does "pretty much everything" mean he took a snap of each play? Or does it mean he took virtually all the snaps? We don't know.

Whisenhunt said Locker was listed as limited because the Titans don’t want his troublesome thumb to flare up Thursday and be an issue.

“But he did a lot today,” Whisenhunt said.

Locker didn’t have his weekly news conference, however. Whisenhunt said Locker would talk Thursday instead, because there would be “a little bit more clarity" to the quarterback situation and Locker's status.

Whisenhunt has not previously been at all concerned with offering clarity to the situation. Rather, despite denying it, I've felt he's relished keeping upcoming opponents in the dark about who the starting quarterback would be.

So this approach and the concern for additional clarity marks a change of course.

If there is actual information provided Thursday, maybe it will amount to a worthwhile switch.
