Dan Connolly to visit Buccaneers

After weeks of not addressing their needs on the offensive line, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are taking a look at one potential upgrade.

New England Patriots guard Dan Connolly will visit with the Bucs on Thursday.

Connolly, 32, would represent an upgrade over Patrick Omameh, who started at right guard last year. If the Bucs sign Connolly, it would bring about a reunion. Left guard Logan Mankins played for the Patriots until he was traded to Tampa Bay last year.

The Bucs also are in the market for a tackle, but that might come in the draft.

Connolly began his career by spending two years with the Jacksonville Jaguars before joining the Patriots seven seasons. He has started 71 of 89 games in his career.
