Cleveland sports fans have had plenty of reasons to smile lately.

Corey Kluber tossed eight outstanding innings Tuesday as the Cleveland Indians won their 11th consecutive game, a 5-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves. It's the longest winning streak in the majors this season.

Not even the NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers won 11 straight games during their championship season. The Cavaliers won 10 straight to start the playoffs and their longest winning streak during the regular season was eight.

Kluber had everything working

Kluber took a no-hit bid into the sixth and needed only 87 pitches to get through eight innings.

It was the second fewest pitches he has thrown in an outing of at least eight innings in his career. Kluber once had 85 pitches in a shutout against the Mariners in 2014.

Kluber threw the fastball on 63 percent of his pitches, the highest percentage he has thrown in a start this season. It was also the only pitch the Braves could hit in this one.

The Braves went 3-for-14 against Kluber's fastball, and they went 0-for-10 with four strikeouts when the at-bat ended against any other pitch.

Indians don't streak like this often

The Indians' 11-game winning streak is tied for the fourth-longest single-season streak in franchise history and the longest such streak since 1982.

Unfortunately for Cleveland, the only three times the Indians have had a longer winning streak (1922, 1942 and 1951) they have failed to make the playoffs.

Lindor steals a run

Francisco Lindor stole home in the first inning to give the Indians an early 2-0 advantage. It was his first career steal of home and he's the first Indians player to steal home since David Dellucci in 2008.

Lindor is the fifth different player to steal home this season.
